“AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!! MY SWEATER DOESN’T FIT!!!!”

Been there. It’s the worst, isn’t it? Nothing like spending weeks or months knitting up a sweater only to find that it’s unwearable. So I’m here to help.

Yes. There will be math. But after this workshop, you’ll wonder why you ever got stressed out about things like gauge, measurements, and picking the right size.

I got you.

Whether you’re looking to improve your sweater-making skills, or you aspire to make a sweater one day, this workshop is for you.

(Note: This girl — the one who plays ukulele while wearing hand-made clothes — swatches everything. Like even-scarves-shawls-and-hats everything. You don’t have to, but maybe you’ll come to appreciate it too?)

Skills learned:

  • Why and when to swatch

  • Swatching flat

  • Swatching circular

  • Blocking

  • Measuring stitches and rows

  • Using YOUR gauge to figure out sweater sizing

Supplies needed:

  • If you have yarn for an upcoming project, have it and its corresponding needles.

  • If not, have light colored, non-variegated, worsted yarn (use stash if you’ve got it)

  • US 6, 7, or 8 straight needles or circular needles with at least 20-inch cable

Refund/cancellation policy: Refunds will only be given up to 48 hours prior to the start of class.
